DMN CIP Rotary Valves and CIP Plug Diverter EHEDG compliant
There are no translations available.

EHEDG Type EL Class IRecently DMN-WESTINGHOUSE were presented with the official EHEDG Type EL Class I certificates of compliance for hygienic CIP rotary valves and a hygienic CIP plug diverter valve. The concerning components were evaluated for compliance with the Hygienic Equipment Design Criteria of the EHEDG and were declared to meet these criteria. By attaining these certificates, DMN-WESTINGHOUSE can now offer a range of components suitable for hygienic clean in place (CIP) process systems.

The rotary valve has been tested and validated according to the EHEDG guidelines Doc.2 and Doc.8. The major advantage of the design is that both shaft sealing areas, being the area’s that are most prone to possible contamination, are also purged with exactly the same CIP cycle as the rest of the equipment. The EHEDG Type EL Class I certificate for the rotary valves concerns the DMN-WESTINGHOUSE rotary valve types AL, AXL, AXXL, AML, BL, BXL, BXXL and SAL with PS seal and PET gaskets.

The new CIP plug diverter has been designed in order to meet CIP requirements. This new diverter is fitted with EPDM gaskets and is suitable for CIP. The diverter is of a dual tunnel design and has patented static and inflatable seals. Due to the special design there is no seal in the product stream. The diverter is suitable for powders and pellets in pneumatic conveying systems and can be mounted in 5 different positions. Also the diverter can be used as a block valve, thereby allowing the operator to only clean a dedicated part of the process system.

DMN-WESTINGHOUSE celebtrate their 60th Anniversary
There are no translations available.

On December the 8th DMN-WESTINGHOUSE will be celebrating its 60th anniversary.  At first the company started producing large sieves for the minerals industry, salt water evaporators, asphalt rollers, fork lift truck frames and even hydraulic swimming pool floors for changing the depth of the pool! It was not until 1971 that DMN became licensed for the production of the Westinghouse range of rotary valves, later on followed by diverter valves.

At present the rotary and diverter valves form our core business. Under the brand name DMN-WESTINGHOUSE we have established almost 40 years of experience in the development and production of these valves. Today the local engineering company from 1950 has become an international company with two manufacturing plants, sales offices in five different countries and a worldwide sales network.

Our continued success has been accomplished thanks to the long standing relationships and support we have received from our customers and suppliers.

Therefore on behalf of our employees all over the world

Thank you!

DMN-WESTINGHOUSE components go recycling

Recently DMNUK have taken an order for 26 MLD medium duty rotary valves sizes 350 and 400 and a DL dust lock valve for a large recycling company in the North of England . The valves have close end rotors and polyurethane blades and are being used for handling waste car parts. Materials being handled include plastic, metal, wire, foam.

The recycling, renewable energy and waste management industries are buyont at the moment due to large investments by Government and private companies. As we become more aware that we need to manage the amount of waste we produce both at home and at work.

Because of the nature of the materials handled in these industries, the processing machinery have to meet specific requirements. DMN-WESTINGHOUSE supplies a number of rotary valves and diverter valves suitable for handling various waste and recycling products.

For handling abrasive products, the AL Airlock can be supplied with special castings or coatings with replaceable wear blades. The MLD valve series are suitable for medium duty applications where valves with outboard bearings would be over-specified. The large MS knife valves are suitable for handling large amounts of wood chips, plastics etc. and are frequently used in the biomass/power industry. The DL dust lock range of valves are a dedicated design for filter applications. The BTD ball type diverter is specially designed to handle abrasive products. Due to the design the material protects the seal when on divert. Also seals can be change without removing the valve form the system giving shorter down time for maintenance.

All DMN rotary valves are conforming to ATEX 94/9/EC. The DL valves even meet the specifications up to Group II Category ID.

DMN UK will be present at stand 1612 at the RWM Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition from 14-16 September in the NEC in Birmingham, UK. www.rwmexhibition.co.uk
